Man Gets 15 Years in Jail For Role in Killingworth Bank Robbery

Dario Pabey pleaded guilty in February. Two other people now await sentencing in the August 2012 robbery.

Waterbury resident Dario Pabey will be in his 40s by the time he gets out of prison.

Pabey, 32, was sentenced Friday to 15 years in prison for partaking the Aug. 6, 2012, robbery of a TD Bank branch on Route 81 in Killingworth.

Officials said Pabey and New Haven resident Marcus Dwyer, 40, wore ski masks and brandished handguns when they entered the bank. They tied up both patrons and employees with Zip ties, stealing their wallets, phones and keys in the process.

The culprits stole over $43,000 from the bank’s vault.

Dwyer pleaded guilty last week and the pair’s getaway driver, Westbrook resident Jennifer Jaques, 31, pleaded guilty in October. Both face 20 years in prison.

Pabey and Dwyer have been in police custody since last fall.
