RSD17 BOE Budget Goes to Referendum Tuesday with a 0% Increase


The budget will go to referendum in Haddam and Killingworth on May 7, 2013.  Copies of the budget are available on the District website, Town Halls and Central Office.

The Regional School District 17 Board of Education budget for the 2013-2014 school year was passed by the Board of Education at last month's meeting. The total proposed budget of $37,886,401.58 was approved and reflected a 0% increase over the 2012-2013 school year budget.

The Administration and Board worked together over the weeks preceding the meeting to reduce the Superintendent’s proposed budget, formerly at 2.9%, by 1.1 million dollars.

Polls will be open on Tuesday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
All polling locations will be open for this voting session. All property owners (who own Haddam taxable property of $1000 or more) are eligible to vote.

Haddam's 3 voting locations are open for all elections and referendum
* District #001—Haddam Firehouse Community Hall, 439 Saybrook Road, Higganum
* District #002—Regional School District #17 Central Office, 57 Little City Road, Higganum
* District #003—Haddam Neck Firehouse, 50 Rock Landing Road, Haddam Neck
* Curbside voting is available for "voters with disabilities"
