Trails Day hike at Killingworth Reservoir on Saturday, June 1

Connecticut Water is leading a hike at its watershed property in Killingworth on Saturday, June 1, as part of this year’s sponsorship of the Connecticut Forest & Park Association’s Connecticut Trails Day 2013. Hikers will receive a reusable metal water bottle and be entered into a raffle to win a gift certificate to LL Bean.

The hike gets under way at 10 a.m. rain or shine:

The 2.5 mile hike at the Killingworth and Kelseytown Reservoir includes some minor hill climbing on a scenic trail that crosses open fields, the Menunketesuck River footbridge, a pond and old woods roads.  Meet on Roast Meat Hill Road across from the Platt Nature Center.
