I am on the board of the Deep River Land Trust and have put my focus on education about the survival of species that are in trouble -- but that we can do something about.  A great success story is the Blue Bird, once as prevalent as Robins but almost brought to extinction.  Thanks to the many, many Blue Bird houses put up all over the U.S., Blue Birds have made a comeback.  But there are others that need our help.
