Killingworth Children's Author Launches New Book
Join local children's book author Gayle Byrne as she celebrates the launch of her latest book.
Gayle Byrne, Killingworth Children's Librarian and author, will be reading from her new book, "Sometimes Just One Is Just Right" this Sunday, April 21 at 3pm at the Killingworth Library.
Byrne's new book, which is illustrated by Mary Haverfield, broaches the subject of being the only child in a family. Her previous children's book, "Sometimes It's Grandmas and Grandpas, Not Mommies and Daddies," tackled the subject of today's children being raised by their grandparents, not parents.

The event will include a sale of the book, a book signing, a reading, and a reception.
Byrne's first book was the recipient of the 2011 Association for Gerontology in Higher Education (AGHE) Children's Book award.
