Heavy Rains, Flooding Possible in Connecticut Monday, Tuesday

Thunderstorms are also likely, which makes power outages possible as well.

You’re going to need that umbrella today and tomorrow as heavy rains accompanied by thunder will hit the area beginning late this afternoon, the National Weather Service predicts.

Up to 3 inches of rain is possible by late Tuesday, and there can be thunder accompanied with the rain, the National Weather Service states.

A flash flood watch is in effect from 2 p.m. today through late Tuesday.

end it now! July 14, 2014 at 04:22 PM
I believe he meant "today and Tuesday" not that today is Tuesday.

BJ, why don't YOU proofread YOUR arrogant comments before you post. "Meant to day 'today' is Monday"...what the hell does that mean??! It's like the pot calling the kettle black.

So...do we need an umbrella tomorrow (Wednesday) or just yesterday (Monday) and today (Tuesday)? Today and tomorrow when written yesterday but posted today is a bit confusing today and tomorrow. Get it? Haha. Love the Patch. Consistently confused. And confusing.

Now for whatever reason I'm getting Text alerts about flash flooding non-stop. Not sure who is sending them, but stop, you have no authorization to do so. I never subscribed or signed up for any emergency alerts. These emergency "cry wolf" nonstop warnings are old. Stop the panic, it rains snows hails and the wind blows every day and year...
