NOTES FROM THE WEEKEND (Killingworth at the Madison parade)

Coming out and enjoying the sunny weather, Killingworth Board of Finance member John McMahon, Killingworth Fire Commissioner Mike Butler, and Killingworth Republican Town Committee chairman David Adametz participated in the Fourth of July parade held in Madison on Saturday.  As elected representatives of the town of Killingworth, Mike Butler and John McMahon were each given the honor of driving a pace car within the parade, while David Adametz was pleased with the task of handing out flags to the many children who lined the procession.

Also marching in the parade and greeting the crowds was the candidate for the 12th district State Senate (which includes Killingworth) Bruce Wilson (R) along with his Republican Town Committee delegates from Killingworth, Madison, Guilford, Durham, North Branford, and Branford.  Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Foley also made an appearance and chatted with the Killingworth participants.

The parade had been originally scheduled for Friday but due to inclement weather it had been rescheduled to Saturday .
