Wear Your Tropical Shirt To Higganum Village Farmer's Market

If you're heading down to the , here's your official reminder--June 8 is Tropical Shirt Friday!

The market is held on Fridays from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on the Higganum Green.

According to the market's newsletter, two new vendors join the fun this week:

• Double "G" Alpacas from Portland
• Shadow Valley Farm from Somers

The Guinea Pigs, a folk rock band, will be providing the sounds for this week's event, the newsletter says.

The newsletter has also provided a list of this week's participating vendors:

• Berger Nurseries: Produce

• Chet's Italian Ice: Many creative flavors of Italian ice

• Double G Alpacas:  Yarn, knit goods

• Dragon's Blood:  Hot sauces

• Old Glory Farm: Produce

• Shadow Valley Farm:  Fresh milk, cheese, honey, maple syrup

• Thankful Circle Farm: Produce

• Three Sisters Farm: Honey, candles, jewelry

• Wellstone Farm: Produce, seedlings, dairy from Deerfield Farm and Cato Corner Farm

• Yummy Hummy: Dips
