The Nathan Hale-Ray Girls' Softball Team gathered together at the Nathan-Hale Plaza in Moodus on Saturday to try to raise money for a group trip down to Florida.
According to their varsity coach, Suzy Miner, the team tries to hold a bottle-drive every year, which is normally held the weekend following the Super Bowl. This year, however, it was rescheduled due to the blizzard that burried East Haddam under nearly 40 inches of snow.
