Residents Want Their Voice to be Heard in East Haddam Schools
The group that's been formed by East Haddam parents, students and taxpayers called 'Hear Our Voice,' hopes to combine their efforts to get parents and kids involved in the process of East Haddam schools.
East Haddam residents want their voice to be heard in the town's schools. So, they've formed up a group called "Hear Our Voice." According to their post on Patch, "this group is open to East Haddam parents, students and taxpayers." They invite others to join, saying this is the group to join "...if you are concerned about the direction our school are heading in or just want to be kept up to date on meetings issues and event."
One group member, Priscilla Hoover, commented on the group's formation saying this in a comment on Patch:
This is a group that is long overdue! We need to join forces and show strength in numbers when trying to get our voices heard... We want to be heard. If they continue to ignore us then we vote for people running that will have our best interests at heart and that will really listen and take what we say to heart. The formation of this group was necessary so that the large number of fragmented groups that are out there trying to get their voices heard can come together. We can then try to move forward in a positive direction for change.
