Last Chance: 'Raising Readers' Workshop Is Wednesday

Event is for parents and caregivers

 

A workshop for parents and caregivers, "," will be held on Wednesday, April 18, the East Haddam Early Childhood Council announced on Facebook.

The program will help parents "promote a life-long love of reading," according to the Council's Facebook post.

The Council further describes the program on its Facebook page, inviting parents to "Come and explore the process of reading, writing, and speaking while learning how to develop these skills simultaneously. Ideas and activities will be provided as well as specific literature that you can use at home to build your child’s confidence in his/her growing abilities."

Joy Lenares, Certified Raising Readers Facilitator and FRC Program Facilitator, will host the evening event, which will run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at in room 202.
