Killingworth Student Stars in Dean College ‘Cabaret’

Julie Vegliante, break a leg!

Julie Vegliante of Killingworth, a freshman at Dean College in Franklin, Mass., will star in the school’s dance and theater production called Cabaret on October 26, 2012. Vegliante will be featured in several dance performances throughout the evening.

"Cabaret is going to be a fabulous night of performance that will showcase the performing arts through an entire century," says Julianne O'Brien Pedersen, Dean of the Joan Phelps Palladino School of Dance at Dean College.

To prepare for the production, which covers music and dance styles from 1912 to 2012, students listened to music from throughout the 20th century, watched films from the 1960s and learned to disco, Pedersen said.

“This is very much a collaborative effort between staff and student direction and choreography which is going to result in a stunning performance and fun night for the audience," she added.
