This weekend, the Haddam-Killingworth Middle School students, families and faculty will join together with State Senator Art Linares, State Senator Edward Meyer and various other event sponsors to kick-off what will become an annual tradition by hosting the school’s first annual Community Day.

Work site activities will range from raking, clearing debris and cleanup to painting and trail work. This includes work sites at the Haddam Senior Center, various churches in Haddam and Killingworth and walking and hiking trails nearby the middle school and Parmelee Farm.

Event sponsors include YFS of Haddam-Killingworth Inc., Student Transportation of America, HK Healthy Communities-Healthy Kids Coalition, The Middlesex United Way, Backyard Productions DJ Service, Killingworth Lions Club, HKMS PTO, Zuse T-Shirts of Guilford, Uncle Willie’s Barbeque and Parmelee Farm.

The event will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2013  from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
