The following press release was provided by Chris Fryxell, Press Secretary, House Republican Office:

State Representative Melissa Ziobron (R- Colchester, East Haddam, East Hampton), achieved a perfect attendance record for roll call votes taken in the state House of Representatives during the 2013 legislative session, according to information provided by the House Clerk’s Office.

“The bills we consider and vote on will affect some person or group of people in Connecticut either positively or negatively,” Rep. Ziobron said. “It is important to me to be on the floor as often as possible – not just to vote, but to participate in debates and engage in conversation so that when I do cast a vote, it will be an informed one.”

Ziobron was present and voting for all 424 of the roll call votes recorded during the recent legislative session.

“I was elected to be the voice of the people in the 34th district. If I’m not voting, they don’t have a voice,” added Ziobron.

Ziobron was one of just 41 out of the 151 members of the House of Representatives to achieve a perfect voting record this session.
