The Dogs Days of Summer are Here

The town of East Haddam would like to remind residents to get those doggies licensed.

Dog licensing is due by the end of June. Residents who have not registered their pooches only have a couple of days left to do so. According to town records, 1175 dog licenses were issued last year and only 650 have been issued as of this publication.

Licenses are available in-person or via mail at the East Haddam Town Hall. The cost is $19.00 for a dog that has not been altered and $8.00 for one that has.

A copy of veterinary paperwork is necessary to verify spaying/neutering and rabies information, the paperwork is always returned to the owner.

Beginning July 1st, the town, pursuant to State Statute, must add a $1.00 late fee to each license sold.
