Special Town Meeting in Killingworth for BOE Election

Due to the resignation of one Board of Education member, another one needs to be elected to fill the term.

 

Killingworth voters and electors will act on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 7pm to elect a new member to the Regional #17 Board of Education (BOE). The new member's term will expire Nov. 4, 2013.

A Special Town Meeting is being called for this occasion. Only those registered to vote in Killingworth may vote in the special election.

The BOE vacancy came about due to the resignation of Killingworth member Peggy Bushey, also BOE treasurer, who resigned effective Feb. 1.

The meeting and vote will take place in the "All Purpose Room" of the Killingworth Elementary School on February 28, 2013 at 7pm.
