Letter to the Editor: Support for New Chair of RTC Nominating Committee

To the Editor:

An American Congressman once famously quipped that all politics are local.  If true, the people of Killingworth are well-served by a change of leadership positions within the Republican Town Committee.  Nancy Gorski has been named the new Chair of the RTC Nominating Committee.

Nancy and her husband, Les, are well-known to many for their active volunteer efforts.  The annual “Christmas Lights Spectacular”, hosted at their home, raises money each year for a worthy charitable cause.  Nancy is an advisor for the HK Leos, a member of the town’s Board of Finance, serves on the Board of Directors of the Women and Family Organization and is a former member of the regional Board of Education.

The Nominating Committee recruits and recommends residents for service upon the town’s many boards, commissions and elected offices.  I am confident Nancy’s leadership will provide an important change in the direction of the Republican Town Committee, and our beloved town.
