Killingworth Republican Primaries Too Close to Call; Recount Scheduled for Friday
All of races in the Killingworth Republican Primaries resulted in the necessity for a recount, which will be held Friday.
Results for the Killingworth Republican Primary began to come in around 8:10 Tuesday night, but as of right now, there are no definite results. That's because the votes were all too close to call according to Killingworth voting protocol. Lauren Blaha, of the Republican Registrar of Voters, explains:
"Any elected position that has a vote difference of only 20 votes or less in their results must be moved to a recount," Blaha told Patch Tuesday night. "We will have that recount Friday, during with time the registrar will go through all the appropriate documents for recounting and run ballots through an optical scanner."
Currently, there is no specific time on Friday set for the recount. Patch will follow up with results when they become available.
