In Support of Tracey Gionta

Fellow Board of Education member endorses Gionta for re-election.

Dear Editor,

I am writing to endorse Tracey Gionta as a candidate for the East Haddam Board of Education. She has served tirelessly for the last six years and when re-elected would be the most senior voice remaining on the Board. Since I became a Board member, it has been a pleasure getting to know her and learn from her experience.

Tracey has demonstrated leadership and reason while performing her duties on the Long Range Planning, Policy, Finance and Personnel & Negotiations sub-committees. She has also served on the LEARN Board of Directors at our regional educational service center overseeing the Multicultural Magnet School, CT River Academy and the newly opened Marine Science High School.

In addition to the Board of Ed, Tracey volunteered with the East Haddam PTO and served as Treasurer for four years. The East Haddam Moodus Little League has also benefitted from her time both out front and behind the scenes. The dedication to her community is evident.

Our town and school district are fortunate to have someone like Tracey who is willing to devote her time, leadership and experience to creating a learning environment that we are proud of. I look forward to serving with her again and ask you to vote for her on November 8th.
