East Haddam Town Budget Passes

Despite the rain on Tuesday, 339 residents showed up to vote on the 2012-2013 fiscal year budget.

With slightly lower voter turnout than usual, the East Haddam budget of $27,910,705 for the 2012-2013 fiscal year was passed on Tuesday.

The tally was:

  • Yes- 228
  • No-  111

Mark Walter, East Haddam First Selectman was not surprised that by the results. "We have a good relationship with the Board of Education and the other town departments and were able to develop a good budget as a result," said Walter.

"We're excited and ready to move on," he said.
