Troop K Logs: May 22, 2012

An East Haddam school bus carrying high school students was rear-ended on Route 149 and there was a violation of a protective order on Knoll Lane.

Protective Order Violation: Police were called to Knoll Road in East Haddam for a verbal argument between a husband and wife. Jared Clark, age 33, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct (no fighting, no threatening, no obstruction) and violation of a protective order. Clark was released on a $5000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Middletown Court on May 23, 2012.

School Bus Accident: Joshua Riviera of 138 Falls Road, Moodus was travelling northbound in a Honda Civic on Route 149 when he struck the rear end of a school bus at the intersection of W.F. Palmer Road in East Haddam. There were 15 high school students on the bus at the time of the accident. No injuries were reported at the scene. There was no damage to the bus and only minor damage to the Honda.
