Troop F Blotter — Arrests Ending Nov. 25

The latest list of arrests from East Haddam, Killingworth and the surrounding towns.

Killingworth

Nov. 22

Police responded Nov. 22 to a complaint of unwanted harassing phone calls being made to a resident at 6 White Wood Road in Killingworth. The case is under investigation.

East Haddam

Nov. 22

Edward K. Dobrinski, 32, 238 Mt. Parnassus Road, East Haddam, was charged with a criminal violation of a protective order on Nov. 22. Dobrinski was held on a $25,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 25.

Durham

Nov. 10

Police are investigating a report of a damaged mailbox filed on Nov. 10 at Old Blue Hills Road in Durham. Someone allegedly set fire to the mailbox. The incident is under investigation. 

Nov. 19

State police are investigating a burglary at 45 Old Farms Road in Durham that was reported on Nov. 19. The case is under investigation.

Nov. 20

Police are investigating a report of a complaint lodged by a female on Nov. 20. The girl told police another female student inappropriately touched her during the summer of 2013. 

Lyme

Nov. 21

Dana A. Durant, 28, 35 Ferry St., Apt. #2, Lyme, was charged with risk of injury to a child and disorderly conduct after police responded to her home for a domestic disturbance on Nov. 21. Durant was held on a $2,500 bond was scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on Nov. 22.

Old Lyme

Nov. 21

Police are investigating the theft of a leaf blower from a home at 2 Katherine Road in Old Lyme that was reported on Nov. 21. The theft happened between Nov. 19 and Nov. 21.

Nov. 23

Travis A. Avery, 29, 58 Boston Post Road, Old Lyme, was charged with second-degree failure to appear after he was taken into custody on Route 1 on Old Lyme on Nov. 23. Avery was held on a $10,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on Nov. 25.

Middletown

Nov. 23

Police are investigating the reported escape of an inmate from a haflway house located at 167 Liberty St. in Middletown. Police said Shawn Garcia, 22, was serving the remainder of a prison sentence at the Connection House and he left the residence during the evening hours of Friday, Nov. 22, and never returned. 

Ronald Lecours, 34, 270 Canterbury Road, Brooklyn, CT, was charged with a criminal impersonation and operating with a suspended license after police pulled him over on Nov. 25.

Westbrook


Nov. 19

Francisco R. Lobo, 54, 3 Sagamore Terrace, Apt. #2, Westbrook, was charged with interfering with an officer and disorderly conduct after police responded to an incident at his home on Nov. 19. Lobo was held on a $1,000 bond and was due in Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 20.

Police in Westbrook responded to a reported bomb threat discovered written on a bathroom stall at Westbrook High School, 156 McVeagh Road. The high school, as well as Westbrook Middle School, were evacuated while police searched the building with bomb-sniffing dogs. The building was later cleared. The case is under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the State Police Troop F barracks in Westbrook at 860-399-2100.

Nov. 20

Nicole J. Lagasse, 44, 168 Old Salt Works Road, Westbrook, was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct after police responded to her home for a reported incident on Nov. 21. Lagasse was held on a $5,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 21.

Nov. 22

Jonathan Heben, 24, 63 Wickham Court, Westbrook, was charged with second-degree failure to appear on Nov. 22. Heben was held on a $2,500 bond and was due in Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 22. 

Maria B. Bonilla, 54, 93 Union Ave., West Haven, was charged with operating under the influence, a failure to drive in the proper lane and a failure to reduce her speed after police said she almost struck a state police trooper while he and an occupant of a disabled vehicle were stopped in the shoulder of I-95 northbound around Exit 64 in Westbrook. Bonilla was pulled over and taken into custody. She was held on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Dec. 6.

Peggy Gonzalez, 25, 14 Bodell Ave., Providence, R.I., was charged with a failure to pay or plead on Nov. 22 after police responded to a one-car accident on Route 9 northbound near Exit 12 in East Haddam. Gonzalez was then taken into custody on the above charge. She was held on a $103 bond and is scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on Dec. 4.

Chester

Nov. 22

Police are investigating the breaking of two glass windows on the back side of a Pleasant Street home in Chester that happened between Oct. 29 to Nov. 18. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Chester Resident State Trooper's Office at 860-526-3605.

Nov. 25

Nicholas Fomenko, 35, 22 Heron Pond Road, Essex, was charged with reckless driving after police pulled him over on Nov. 25 on Route 9 north neat Exit 7 in Chester. Fomenko was held on a $500 bond.

Old Saybrook

Nov. 19

Robert J. Secchi, 49, 630 Middlesex Turnpike, Old Saybrook, was charged with operating under the influence, a failure to drive in the proper lane and operating an unregistered motor vehicle after police pulled him over on Nov. 19 at 10:43 p.m. Secchi was held on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Dec. 5.

Deep River

Nov. 22

A passenger in a car on River Street in Deep River was cited for possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana during a motor vehicle stop on Nov. 22. Police did not name the person.
