Troop F Blotter — Arrests Ending Dec. 22

Recent arrests from around the region, including Haddam.

Haddam

Dec. 17

Sean Reilly, 48, 1179 Saybrook Road, Haddam, was charged with disorderly conduct on Dec. 17 after police took him into custody without incident following a disturbance at his home. Reilly was held on a $1,000 bond and is due in Middlesex Superior Court on Dec. 26.

Dec. 21

Leszek Miklolaj Debski, 30, 67 Hubbard Road, Haddam, was charged with disorderly conduct on Dec. 21 after police said the accused was verbally disruptive at their home on Hubbard Road. Debski was held on a $2,500 bond and was scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Dec. 23.

Dec. 22

While investigating a domestic dispute at a home on Hubbard Road police said they located a green leafy substance in the home, believed to be marijuana. The person in the home was issued an infraction for a possession  of marijuana less than .5 ounces and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Old Lyme


Dec. 17

Police in Old Lyme are investigating a theft of a package from a home on Browns Lane.

According to police, on Dec. 11 someone stole a package that had been delivered by the U.S. Postal Service to a resident on this street. The incident was reported to the Old Lyme Police Department on Dec. 17.

Police said this is one of several thefts of mail from mailboxes and residences in the Old Lyme area over the past several weeks. The public is reminded that, if they observe suspicious activity, they should notify police immediately.

Durham


Dec. 19

Joseph A. Viski, 48, 97 James Road, Durham, was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault after police said he got into an argument with another person on Dec. 19. Viski was held on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Dec. 19.

Middlefield

Dec. 22

Two Middlefield residents, Tyler Tirone, 19, and Taylor Matuskiewicz, 18, were both charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and possession with alcohol by a minor on private land after police resopnded to a reported bonfire behind the residence of 173 Cedar St. in Middlefield on Dec. 22 at 7:33 p.m. A third underage person was also charged.

Westbrook

Dec. 20

An unknown white female entered the Paper Craft Club House on Westbrook Place in Westbrook during regular business hours on dec. 20 and removed a wallet from the office area of the store. She had two small children accompanying her. Credit and debit cards from this wallet were later used at stores in the town of Old Saybrook. Police said the case is under investigation.

Darren M. Potts, 45, 24 Connolly Drive, Old Saybrook, was charged with operating under the influence and a failure to drive in the proper lane after police said he failed a field sobriety test following a traffic stop on Dec. 20 around 7:15 p.m. on I-95 eastbound near Exit 62. Potts was held on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Jan. 3. 

Chester

Dec. 22

Kevin A. Hazel, 38, 104 Oakwood Ave., A6, West Hartford, was charged with speeding up to 85 mph and operating with a suspended license after police pulled him over on Dec. 22 at 9:56 a.m. on Route 9 northbound in Chester. Hazel was held on a $500 bond and is due in Middlesex Superior Court on Jan. 7.
