Stalking, Harassment, Metal Theft from Train Station, Threatening and Resisting Arrest

Haddam area police activity reports.

 

The Haddam Resident Troopers' Office, and the Connecticut State Police, Troop F in Westbrook report the following incidents:

STALKING, HARASSMENT, THREATENING AND BREACH OF PEACE - On Jan.12th, Brandon Wyzykowski, 18, of 67 Old County Road, Higganum, was taken into custody pursuant to an active arrest warrant and processed at Troop F. Wyzykowski was charged with 2nd-degree stalking, 2nd-degree harassment, (intimidation) 2nd-degree threatening and breach of peace. He is also facing previous charges of interfering with an officer and resisting arrest, use of a motor-vehicle without the owner's permission and criminal violation of a restraining order from arrests that were made in November of 2011. Wyzykowski was held on a $25,000 surety-bond and is scheduled to appear at Middlesex Superior Court in Middletown on 1/31/12.

METAL THEFTS FROM THE TRAIN STATION - Police are investigating the theft of metal railroad joint bars and plates from the Valley Railroad Company on Railroad Street in Deep River, sometime during the early morning hours of Jan. 13th. Anyone who may have any information that could assist police in this investigation is asked to contact Officer Raymond Sypher at the Deep River Resident Troopers' Office, at 860-526-6027, or the Connecticut State Police, Troop F at 860-399-2100.

MOTOR-VEHICLE vs. UTILITY POLE - On Jan. 13th at approximately 8:01 a.m., Regan Hammell, 20, of West Oxbow Road, Higganum was traveling westbound on Candlewood Hill Road in Higganum in a 1997 Plymouth Neon. Hammell lost control of the vehicle, striking a utility pole with a transformer. No injuries were reported, but police issued Hammell an infraction for failure to drive upon the right.

RISK OF INJURY AND FAILURE TO APPEAR IN COURT - On Jan. 13th, Colin Maroney, 46, of 93 Bamforth Road, Haddam, turned himself in to police, based on an outstanding warrant for charges of risk of injury to a child and 1st-degree failure to appear in court. Maroney was given a court date of 1/25/12 at Middlesex Superior Court in Middletown.

VEHICLE vs STONE WALL AND TREES - On Jan. 13th at approximately 10:20 p.m., Joel Junokas, 40, of Hendley Street, Middletown was traveling eastbound on the Old County Road section of Parker Hill Road in Higganum, operating a 1996 Buick Regency. Junokas lost control of the vehicle and struck a stone wall before becoming airborne and striking several trees, traveling approximately 200 feet from the roadway and into the woods. Junokas was transported via Life-Star Helicopter to Hartford Hospital with life-threatening injuries. According to Hartford Hospital, Junokas remains in critical condition as of Wednesday, Jan. 18th.

LARCENY AND CRIMINAL IMPERSONATION - On Jan. 14th at approximately 4:00 p.m., Aimee Soucy, 23, last known address of Town Street, East Haddam was located by police at The Viking Motel, 756 Boston Post Road, Westbrook. Soucy was arrested, pursuant to (2) outstanding warrants, and charged with 4th-degree larceny, stemming from an investigation into a 2010 residential burglary that took place on Morris Hubbard Road in Higganum. She was charged separately with criminal impersonation, after giving a false name to police. Soucy was issued (2) $1000 bonds and was scheduled to appear at Middlesex Superior Court in Middletown on 1/26/12.
