Reckless Driving, DUI, Possession of a Loaded Firearm While Under the Influence

Haddam Police Activity Reports through June 9.

The Haddam Police and the Connecticut State Police, Troop F, Westbrook, report the following incidents:

THREATENING AND BREACH OF PEACE - On June 4, Alan Tomaszewski, 30, of 1230 Saybrook Road, Haddam, was involved in a physical altercation in which he reportedly threw a potted plant at a family member. The pot did not hit the victim and she was uninjured. Police arrested Tomaszewski and charged him with threatening and breach of peace. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to Troop F for processing. Tomaszewski was later released on a $500 non-surety bond and was given a court date of 6/8/11 at Middlesex Superior Court in Middletown.

RECKLESS DRIVING, DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUGS, AND POSSESSION OF A LOADED FIREARM WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUGS - On June 8, at approximately 8:03 p.m., Roland Muniz, 24, of 383 McClintock St., New Britain, was stopped by police along Route 9 northbound as he was observed traveling at a speed of  approximately 100 mph.  Muniz was taken into custody and processed at Troop F, then later released after posting a $1000 bond, and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on 6/28/11.


MOTOR-VEHICLE vs. MOTORCYCLE AND BREACH OF PEACE - On June 9, at approximately 7:46 a.m., Jonathan Carver, 24, of 7 Ridge Road, East Haddam, was involved in a car vs. motorcycle accident in the area of Route 154 and Haddam Meadows Road in Haddam. Police say that, while Carver was riding his motorcycle, he was impacted by a car from behind and became upset. Carver then reportedly struck the driver of the car in the face, and was subsequently arrested and charged with breach of peace. He was later released on a $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court in Middletown on 6/21/11.
