Troop K Police Logs: July 1-7, 2012

July 1, 2012

An Acura Integra was observed weaving within the southbound lane of Town Street in East Haddam. The car was pulled over by police as it turned onto Brook Hill Road. There was the smell of marijuana in the vehicle and the operator, Charles Marshall of 15 Brook Hill Road, East Haddam, failed a standardized sobriety field test. Marshall was charged with a DUI and failure to drive right. He was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Middletown Court on 7/11/2012.

Daniel Winslow, age 37, of 9 Elaine Drive, East Haddam, was charged with 3rd degree criminal trespass and 6th degree larceny after being located stealing scrap metal from a residence on Amston Road in Colchester. Bond was set at $1000 and Winslow is scheduled to appear in Norwich Court on 7/19/2012.

July 3, 2012

Maryann and David Sweet, both of 23 Landing Hill Road in East Haddam, were arrested and charged with breach of peace. David Sweet was also charged with reckless endangerment and criminal mischief in the third degree. Bond was set for $500 and a court date was scheduled for 7/5/2012.

July 6, 2012

A Saturn Ion, driven by Lily Martin of 17 Raymond Road in East Haddam, was pulled over for speeding on Falls Road in East Haddam. The officer smelled marijuana in the vehicle, which led to a discovery of drug paraphernalia. Martin failed field sobriety tests and admitted to smoking marijuana earlier. She was charged with a DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and traveling too fast. She was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Middletown Court on 7/18/2012.

July 7, 2012

Christopher Lewis, 34, of Augusta Circle, East Haddam was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and 3rd degree assault. Lewis was released on a $500 bond and scheduled to appear in Middletown Court on 9/28/2012.
