Police Blotter: Haddam Arrests April 4-13

Arrest information was supplied by the state police at the Troop F barracks in Westbrook and Middletown police. Inclusion in these reports does not indicate a conviction.

 

Haddam Arrest Logs 

Speeding, DUI: On April 4 at 2:04 a.m., Mathew M. Macneil of 454 Candelwood Road, Higganum was pulled over for speeding. Macneil was arrested and charged with operating under the influence. He was released on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Middletown Court on April 17, 2012.

Burglary Suspect Turns Himself in: On April 13 at 7:15 a.m., Dillon Zak, 19, of Burr Road, Higganum turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

Zak was arrested on warrants stemming from burglaries in the town of Haddam, which he eventually confessed to, according to Sgt. Sal Calvo.

One burglary occurred on Jan. 25 on Burr Road where he reportedly entered a kitchen window between the hours of 1:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. while the residents were asleep in the house. He is reported as stealing a wallet with over $200 in cash and a laptop computer. Zak was charged with first-degree burglary and fifth-degree larceny.

Additionally, he was also charged with fourth-degree from theft of jewelry from another home on Burr Road on Feb. 22. The jewelry was later discovered at a Pawn Shop and traced back to Zak.
