Motor-Vehicle Roll-Over, Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia, Threatening and Disorderly Conduct

Haddam area police activity reports.

 

The Haddam Resident Troopers' Office and the Connecticut State Police, Troop F in Westbrook report the following incidents:

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA AND POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA - On Nov. 18, Ronald Bodeau, 42, of 463 Hidden Lake Road Higganum was arrested based on an active warrant and charged with possession of over four ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bodeau was released on a $1,500 cash bond and scheduled to appear at Middlesex Superior Court in Middletown on 12/15/11.

MOTOR-VEHICLE vs. FALLEN TREE - On Nov. 29 at approximately 10:03 p.m., Todd Peterson, 53, of Hidden Lake Road, Higganum was traveling westbound in the right-hand lane on Interstate-95 in an Isuzu NPR utility truck. Peterson's vehicle collided with a tree that had fallen and landed in the roadway, and sustained moderate damage as a result of the incident, including a broken windshield. No injuries were reported at the scene.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT AND THREATENING - On Nov. 29, Christopher Copeland, 21, of 78 West Shore Drive, Higganum was arrested and charged with the above as a result of a domestic incident. Copeland was released on a $500 non-surety bond and given a court date of 11/30/11 at Middlesex Superior Court.

FAILURE TO DRIVE IN THE ESTABLISHED LANE - On Nov. 30 at approximately 8:05 a.m., Donald Mathieu, 57, of Ballahack Road, East Haddam was traveling southbound on Town Woods Road in Old Lyme, in a 2009 Chevy Silverado. According to police, Mathieu's vehicle side-swiped a 1998 Ford E-350 traveling northbound and being operated by Derrick Clark, 44, of Pleasant Street, New London, impacting the driver's side mirror. Minor damage was caused to both vehicles, however no injuries were reported. Police issued Mathieu a warning for failure to drive in the established lane.

MOTOR-VEHICLE ROLL-OVER - On Dec. 3 at approximately 5:09 a.m., Devin Gannon, 27 of Parker Hill Road, Higganum was traveling southbound on Beaver Meadow Road in Haddam in a 1992 Jeep Wrangler, when he lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons, traveled into the northbound lane of the roadway and struck a tree and a utility pole, snapping the pole in half. Both Gannon and his passenger, 27-year-old Johnathon Linko of Town Street in East Haddam, were transported to Hartford Hospital for treatment of their injuries. See the on Patch for the full story.
