Killingworth and Haddam Burglaries Reported

The Killingworth Resident State Trooper reports a residential burglary that took place on Thursday on Little City Road in Killingworth, followed by another on Weise Albert Road in Haddam.

On Thursday, December 6, TFC Matthew Ward, Killingworth Resident State Trooper, reported the following:

A forced entry was gained by smashing the rear slider of a residence in the 200 block of Little City Road near the Haddam town line on Thursday. It appears the burglars were interrupted or became scared by a delay in the alarm as the flat screen tv was found near the front door in the foyer. The burglars did steal jewelry and some smaller sized electronics.

There was a second burglary reported in Haddam in the 400 block of Weise Albert Road in Haddam shortly after this one. Both burglaries are similar and we believe they are related. There are no suspect or vehicle descriptions at this time.  We also believe these two burglaries are related to several other burglaries in Durham, Middlefield, Haddam and North Branford over the last several months.

A suspect vehicle seen at some of the previous  burglaries was a tan, small -sized pickup truck with an extended cab driven by two or three white males, in their early 20's with slender builds.

Please continue to be vigilant in your neighborhoods and report any suspicious people or vehicles in your area.

While investigating these burglaries there was a robbery reported at the Liberty Bank on Main Street in Durham.

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.
