Emergency Management Alert

The town of East Haddam prepares for extreme weather conditions for Wednesday and Thursday.

 

Emergency Management Director, Craig Mansfield, sent out an alert to residents on Tuesday night stating that the town of East Haddam will be opening a cooling center on Wednesday, June 20 and Thursday June 21, 2012 due to a forecast of extreme heat.

The cooling center will be located at the , located at 15 Great Hillwood Road in the Moodus section of East Haddam.

The center will be opened from 8 a.m.- 3 p.m. and hours can be extended if needed.  Residents using the center will be required to provide their own food and drink.  

It is important that check on our family, friends and neighbors during these times of extreme heat.
