CL&P/ROAD UPDATE: We continue to have many roads that are impassable or difficult to travel because of trees and wires. Most of the state roads have been cleared of wires and are now passable. We have crews in place to open the town roads as soon as they are cleared by CL&P.

CL&P continues to have only one dedicated line crew in town. CL&P understands the major destruction that has occurred to our town and has now assigned a liaison to our Emergency Operations Center.

Power restoration is still expected to be MANY days away for the majority of East Haddam.

Residents are remInded to treat all downed wires as if they are live!

DO NOT APPROACH ANY DOWNED WIRES UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD BY CL&P OR EMERGENCY PERSONNEL THAT IT IS SAFE TO DO SO.

FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR CREWS DO NOT ILLEGALLY HARDWIRE A GENERATOR INTO YOUR ELECTRICAL PANEL.

TRANSFER STATION UPDATE:  Dumping of tree and brush debris is at the old middle school rear parking lot 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The Transfer Station is operating on normal hours.  No storm related brush will be accepted at the Transfer Station.  All debris is to be taken to the old middle school.
