The incident remains under investigation by the State Police.

Members of the Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to a one-vehicle car accident on September 6, according to their Facebook page, and secured the scene of the crash.

The vehicle, whose occupant was a lone driver, lost control of his car and stuck a utility pole on Burr Road in Haddam, according to HVFC, who stayed on scene to wait for crews from CL&P to shut the line down. Members of the fire company also disabled the car's battery.

The driver refused treatment, and the incident remains under investigation by the CT State Police.
