Criminal Impersonation, Violation of Probation, Assault, Larceny and Possession of Marijuana

Haddam area police activity reports.

 

The Haddam Resident Troopers' Office and the Connecticut State Police, Troop F in Westbrook report the following incidents:


DISORDERLY CONDUCT AND CRIMINAL VIOLATION OF A PROTECTIVE ORDER - On Dec. 13 at 7:47 p.m., Christopher Copeland, 21, of 78 West Shore Drive, Haddam was arrested and charged with the above, after being involved in a domestic dispute. Copeland was held on a $1,000 bond and given a court date of 12/14/11 at Middlesex Superior Court in Middletown.

FAILURE TO DRIVE UPON THE RIGHT - On Dec. 14 at approximately 5:30 p.m., Jeffery Way, 51, (no street address given) of Middletown was traveling southbound on Boulder Dell Road in the town of Haddam, in a 2005 Ford Mustang. Edith Edman, 87, of Boulder Dell Road, Higganum was traveling northbound in a 2004 Dodge Neon. According to police, when Edman was attempting to negotiate a curve in the roadway, she traveled into the path of Way's vehicle and struck the front left corner of his car. No injuries were reported, and only minor damage to both vehicles was caused. Police issued Edman a written warning for failure to drive upon the right.

CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT, THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT, BREACH OF PEACE, INTERFERING WITH POLICE AND RESISTING ARREST, FIFTH-DEGREE LARCENY, POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, CRIMINAL IMPERSONATION AND TWO COUNTS OF VIOLATION OF PROBATION - On Dec. 16, Michael Allocca, 26, of 17 White Birch Terrace, Higganum was arrested by Meriden Police and charged with the above, as a result of an incident that occured at a residence on Gravel Street in Meriden. (see on Patch for the full story) Allocca is being held on multiple bonds totaling $30,000, pending court dates of 1/10/12 and 1/23/12 at Meriden Superior Court in Meriden.

FAILURE TO GRANT THE RIGHT-OF-WAY - On Dec. 17 at approximately 9:36 p.m., Giana Denisi, 17, of Reservoir Road, Killingworth was traveling southbound on Route 81 in Haddam, driving a 2005 GMC Envoy. Yanzaguano Calle, 26, of Union Street, Deep River was stopped at a stop sign on Burr Road at the intersection of Route 81 in a 2004 Dodge Stratus. Calle proceeded onto Route 81, striking Denisi's vehicle. No injuries were reported, but both vehicles required towing. Calle was issued an infraction for failure to grant the right-of-way.

MAKING AN IMPROPER TURN - On Dec. 18 at approximately 9:13 p.m., Lisa Parlapiano, 53, of Saybrook Road, Haddam was traveling southbound along Route 154 in Haddam. Police said Parlapiano lost control of the vehicle and struck some wire-rope guardrail on the right-hand shoulder of the road. No injuries were reported, but the vehicle had to be towed due to damages. Parlapiano was issued a verbal warning for making an improper turn.
