Copper Thief Strikes in Haddam

Haddam area police activity reports.

The Haddam Resident Trooper's office and the Connecticut State Police, Troop F in Westbrook report the following incidents:

 

FAILURE TO DRIVE IN THE ESTABLISHED LANE - On July 30 at approximately 7:33 p.m., Frank Segaline, 53, of Haddam View Heights, Haddam was traveling along Haddam View Heights in the southbound lane in a 1989 Buick LeSabre. Segaline lost control of his vehicle and veered off the roadway, colliding with a utility pole. No injuries were reported and the vehicle sustained only minor damage. Police issued Segaline an infraction for failure to drive in the established lane.

BURGLARY AND LARCENY - The Connecticut State Police, Troop F is investigating a commercial burglary that was reported to have taken place during the early morning hours of Saturday, July 30th at a business located on Bridge Street in Haddam. Unknown person(s) were able to gain entry by figuring out the combination to a lock on the front door.

A large spool of copper flat wire and (8) small spools of stranded copper wire were taken. A silver Ford Ranger pick-up truck has been identified as a possible suspect vehicle.
