"Greenwich Police Detectives collaborated with more than one dozen jurisdictions, including state and federal agencies, during the course of this investigation. As the multi-jurisdictional investigation progressed the evidence suggested that a common group of suspects was committing residential burglaries that spanned the coastline as well as northward toward the Hartford area. In November investigators from the Greenwich Police Department and the East Lyme Police Department developed two persons of interest in the statewide burglary spree: Mark Missino and Bernard McAllister.

"On November 13, 2010 Greenwich Police responded to the scene of a residential burglary. The investigation revealed that the burglary shared characteristics with the ten earlier burglaries in Greenwich as well as those in the statewide spree. Greenwich Detectives contacted East Lyme investigators with this information. Soon after, East Lyme Police located Missino and McAllister at a self-storage facility in their town, in possession of proceeds from burglaries throughout the state.
