NHRMS 5th grade band concert in East Haddam

On Wednesday, February 26th, the NHRMS 5th grade band made their debut performance in concert led by Director Zack Blain. Sixty-two young musicians took the stage to play for parents, friends, and relatives. Only five months removed from taking their instruments out of their cases for the very first time, the students gave a half-hour performance featuring familiar songs like London Bridge, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and Old McDonald had a Band. The band closed the concert with their version of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and the band’s favorite piece: Joseph Compello’s Inception.
