Mark Walter advises the town of Clintonville that the noises they are hearing are "normal."

 

In East Haddam, residents are used to odd rumblings in the middle of the night. Locals refer to this phenomenom as the . In fact, Moodus gets its name from the Native American word meaning "place of noises." In Clintonville, Wisconsin, however, residents are wondering what those strange noises in the middle of the night are.

East Haddam First Selectman Mark Walter said in an interview with Wisconsin Public Radio, "we were amazed that Clintonville didn't know what it was. We thought this was normal around the country." 

Walter advises Clintonville to deal with it, "I think they should embrace them as a sign the earth is releasing its tension instead of something that would damage their house."
