Dinner and a Cemetery Tour

First Church of Christ Congregational in East Haddam celebrates fall and Halloween in style this Saturday.

Instead of dinner and a show, First Church of Christ Congregational in East Haddam is serving up dinner and a cemetery tour on Saturday, October 27, 2012--in honor of Halloween, of course.

The deliciously haunting event begins at 3:30 p.m. with a tour of the First Church Cemetery at 499 Town Street, East Haddam. The tour, led by Dr. Karl P. Stofko, president and superintendent of the cemetery, will take you to see the resting places of the town’s rich and famous. Along the way, you’ll hear frightening tales of hauntings, tragic death, shipwrecks, madness, suicide—and murder.

To sate the appetite you’ll work up during the tour, feast on the Harvest Soup and Chowder Dinner, served from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church’s Fellowship Hall.

Donations to benefit the East Haddam Fuel Bank are welcomed.
