Haddam and Killingworth Bars and Restaurants Pass Compliance Checks

On 11/27/13, local Haddam and Killingworth establishments that serve alcoholic beverages were inspected by Troopers from the Haddam and Killingworth Resident Trooper’s Offices for valid liquor licenses and for underage patrons. These establishments were all found to be in compliance. The Healthy Communities-Healthy Kids (HC-HK) Coalition has partnered with the Troopers to ensure that everyone continues to have a safe and happy holiday season.  Increased enforcement will focus on compliance checks, check points, and party and parking lot patrols to ensure that youth are not engaging in risky behavior. The enforcement activity will be conducted throughout the end of 2013.

This is an on-going continued collaboration between the Haddam and Killingworth Resident State Trooper's offices and Healthy Communities-Healthy Kids Coalition to keep our youth safe and prevent underage drinking in our communities. Funding for the underage drinking party and parking lot patrols and compliance checks is provided by the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration. Comprised of dedicated volunteers in Haddam and Killingworth, the Healthy Communities-Healthy Kids Coalition engages youth and adults in advancing wellness.
