Deeds, Not Words

Everybody in Killingworth wants to keep taxes down and keep services up. Most of us also want to see our public places, such as our ball fields and Parmelee Farm, continue to improve. We all want to preserve our town’s rural character. But slogans don’t make it so.

If you want Killingworth to control spending without compromising basic town functions, you need experienced leaders with a clear understanding of planning, budgeting, and management.

If you want Killingworth’s generous volunteers to continue to serve the town, you need leaders who support their efforts and find tools to enhance their effectiveness.

If you want to sustain Killingworth’s rural character, you need leaders who will make hard decisions to protect our environment and invest in our future.

We have built a record of fiscal responsibility, bipartisan cooperation, openness to new ideas, and tireless efforts on behalf of our town. Our town budget is lower today than it was five years ago, thanks to detailed oversight, on-going collaboration, and long-range planning. To quote the motto of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy—Lou’s alma mater: “Deeds, not words.”

We ask for your vote this Tuesday, Election Day. We believe Killingworth’s best days are ahead, and we pledge to keep working with and for all the people of Killingworth.
