EVENT POSTPONED UNTIL FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 2
EAST HADDAM ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
5-8 PM
East Haddam children up to grade 8 are invited to trick or treat for candy and prizes at the 17th Annual Project Safe Halloween sponsored by the East Haddam Police Department. While there, take a ride on the Halloween Hayride and enjoy time with your family and friends.
This is a community-wide event presented as a safe alternative to door-to-door trick or treating. Please join the 24 civic groups who have sponsored tables and will be ready to hand out candy and prizes to all of the children.

1. Do the organizers get how many kids show up at this event to load up on free candy and then go home and hit the streets? Every year I comment to kids who come to the door how much territory they must have covered because their bags are so full and every year a number of them tell me they got most of it at Project Safe Halloween. 2. I have lived here more than thirty years. Every year there are tons of trick-or-treaters out and I don't recall anybody ever getting hurt. Why do we need this "safe" alternative?
...Bring candy, please!!!
