You are what you eat.
Want to learn more about what is in the food you eat? Join us as we watch "Genetic
Roulette" - a film that shows how GMOs (genetically modified organisms)
have crept into our food supply and how they impact us. According to the film, GMOs may be linked to rising health problems including GI disorders, allergies, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, and infertility. This film has generated controversy and does not reflect the beliefs of GM
producers.
After the film, there will be a discussion. State Representative Phil Miller, will talk
about his legislative efforts to have Connecticut pass the first-in-the-nation
food labeling law for GMOs. His stance is that consumers have the right to know what is in their food.
