Art & More At Chester's Carnivale

CHESTER – The artists of Maple and Main Gallery will celebrate the town’s 23rd annual Winter Carnivale Sunday, Feb. 17 by painting hot & sweet peppers.

Part of the festivities that day is the Chilly Chili Cook Off at the firehouse from 11 am to1 pm. when fire companies, restaurants and home cooks compete for the tastiest chili.  To taste them all and vote costs $5 with the proceeds going to the Chester Hose Company.

Over at the Maple & Main Gallery, a still life of peppers will be set up for gallery artists to interpret in whatever medium and style they wish. In addition, already completed pepper paintings will be on display.  The painting  demonstration will be between 10 a.m. and 2 pm  or so.
