CFMC-VRHS Interact Club “What if” Video/Photo Project

Take the Lead as one of Middlesex County’s Stars

CFMC-VRHS Interact
Club “What if” Video/Photo Project

What If … what if all children could have books of their own?
What if your town had a community garden? What if affordable housing was
available throughout our region? What if every child had access to creative
arts programming? What if we could eradicate bullying?

Find out what's happening in The Haddams-Killingworthwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

Everyone has a “what if” they would like to see happen in
their community – that one issue, one need that could be solved to make life
better for everyone. The Community Foundation of Middlesex County wants to know
what your “what if” is. Valley Regional High School Interact Club is partnering
with CFMC on a video and photo project – hearing and sharing all the “what ifs”
in Middlesex County during a community-wide video day at Deep River Public
Library.

Take the lead and be a star in CFMC’s “What If” and “What
Matters” video project. Share with our community:

  • “What If” – what if you could solve one issue in
your community – what would it be?

  • “What Matters” – beyond family and friends – what
matters to you in your community?

You know your community best. CFMC and VRHS Interact Club
want to hear, and share, your ideas with our friends and neighbors in Middlesex
County.

Everyone, from every town in Middlesex County, is invited to
stop by the Deep River Public Library on Saturday, May 3, between 11 a.m. and 4
p.m., and share your “what if” and “what matters” about your community.

VRHS Interact Club members will work with CFMC to create
short videos and photo collages of your “what if” and “what matters”
statements. We will share them with the community at large through our website
and e-news editions, local media channels, and our nonprofit partners. This
project will also help CFMC identify issues affecting our region and work with
nonprofit organizations and funding partners to make a positive impact in
Middlesex County.

It only takes a few minutes to be a star in Middlesex County
– please join us between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the
Deep River Public Library, 150 Main Street, Deep River.

Interact is a Rotary
Club-sponsored service club for High School students. The program gives young
people an opportunity to participate in fun, meaningful service projects while
developing leadership skills and meeting new friends. We work on a local,
national and international level to better the community. Our motto is “Service
above Self”.

Community Foundation
of Middlesex County assists donors in meeting their charitable objectives
through the creation of restricted and unrestricted endowments during their
lifetime or through planned gifts. Income from these endowments and donations
provided specially for grant making are used to award grants to nonprofit
organizations that have a positive impact on the community. Learn more at
www.MiddlesexCountyCF.org.
