1. 10th Annual East Haddam Chowder Cookoff and 3rd Annual Business Expo

Date/Time: Saturday, March 23 at 11:30 a.m.

During the Chowder Cook-off, The East Haddam Business Association will be sponsoring their 3rd Annual Business Expo at the Gelston House. Area businesses will showcase their goods and services, offering coupons, raffles, samples and information. 

 

2. St. Peter's Teens in Action Pasta Dinner

Location: St. Peters Church, 30 Saint Peters Ln, Higganum

Date/Time: Friday, March 22 at 6p.m.

The St. Peter's Teens In Action youth group will be presenting the Living Stations of the Cross followed by a pasta dinner. Proceeds will help sponsor mission trip to Boston, MA this summer to help repair the homes of those less fortunate.

 

3. New York Author at Books and Boos

Location: 514 Westchester Rd, Colchester

Date/Time: Saturday, March 23 from 2-4 p.m.

Amy Grech will be reading from Blanket of White, answering questions about her writing career, and signing books. Free refreshments will be served!

5. Music at the Meetinghouse Winter Concert

Location: First Church of Christ, Congregational, 499 Town St. East Haddam

Date/Time: Palm Sunday, March 24 at 3 p.m. 

The Music Committee of the First Church of Christ Congregational in East Haddam will sponsor a cello-piano duo to delight us with classical music in the Sanctuary. 

This concert will celebrate works for cello and piano, and will feature sonatas by Sammartini, Schubert, and Beethoven, as well as the delightful Fantasy from 19th c. cello virtuoso David Popper.  A reception will follow to meet the artists.
