Storm Fallout Update for East Haddam

Power expected to be restored by Friday night, showers available, 2-hour school delay on Wednesday and the Senior Center is open for warming and charging.

Emergency Management Storm Update from Mark Walter and Craig Mansfield:

During a conference call today with the Governor and staff from the State of CT Department of Emergency Management it was learned that the crews anticipated to arrive in state today to assist CL&P have been delayed. The State of CT is working diligently with CL&P and outside utilities companies to get additional crews here as soon as possible.

As of Tuesday at 2:30 PM, East Haddam remains approximately 27% out of power. East Haddam has one CL&P crew and continues to work towards opening the remaining roads still blocked by trees and wires. Restoration is planned to begin tomorrow and CL&P has provided us with a timeframe of Friday night for 99% restoration of power.
