...VERY Awesome photos, everyone! Barbara, I love your Woodpecker-Hummingbird, what a character, huh? It's like the Blue-Jays that like to pretend to be Hawks, with their verbal imitations...too funny!!! How absolutely precious and BEAUTIFUL are all of these bird photos...WOW!!! I would so LOVE to have a camera that could capture images like these! I have to say, my favorite birds would have to be my "Yard-Clowns".....the Crows N' Ravens. Does anyone have any photos of them to share at all? C'mon.....with Halloween just around the corner and all??? ...AND... this bird-photo-contest makes me wander back to a story I wrote awhile ago, that might bring some of you a smile: http://thehaddams-killingworth.patch.com/articles/the-bird-mobilea-true-mobile-home

I got abit carried away downloading bird photo's. I just love nature, and the birds are becoming my 6 yr. old grand daughters new hobby. She loves to watch them and gets really distracted while eating her breakfast. She stares at the feeders. Also, she is learning different bird sounds and starting to identify what kind of birds they are.
