UPDATE: Missing Hikers in Devil's Hopyard Found

Crews found hikers reported missing in the woods of the Hopyard.

UPDATE

The missing hikers have been located in Devil's Hopyard State Park. Crews from East Haddam, Lyme and Salem were called in to search the woods of Devil's Hopyard State Park on Wednesday night for the missing hikers.

The hikers were located and being escorted back out around 9:30 p.m. Identities and additional information was not being released.

Two hikers have been reported missing in the woods of Devil's Hopyard State Park in East Haddam. According to reports, the DEEP, CT State Police and Fire Departments have been called in.

No additional information is available at this time.

Devil's Hppyard State Park is an 860-acre parcel of state-owned wooded land in the Millington section of East Haddam. In addition to 30 campsites, there are hiking trails, streams and waterfalls. The park is open to the public.
