Lions Offer Another Community Dinner in Killingwoth

Another community dinner is scheduled for tonight and more storm updates for Killingworth.

 

A Post-Sandy Update from Killingworth First Selectwoman Cathy Iino

Post-Sandy Community Supper #2: The Killingworth Lions are again offering a community supper this evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the KVFC Fire House. Over 100 people came to last evening’s dinner.

The shelter at HK Middle School is open today until 6:00 p.m. for warm showers, water, and recharging. Please bring your own towel and toiletries. Tomorrow the shelter will open at 8:00 a.m. Please thank the generous volunteers who have been staffing the shelter since last Sunday.

If you need a warm place to spend the night, the shelter at the John Winthrop Middle School in Deep River will be open tonight.

The Transfer Station will be open regular hours tomorrow—Saturday—from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will accept brush.
