Letter to the Editor: Thank You

The Shumbo family would like to take the opportunity to thank the MANY people who have organized, donated to and supported the various fundraisers for our son, Jake Shumbo. Jake sustained a traumatic brain injury in December 2011 while snowboarding. His rehabilitation will be a very long process with various on-going therapies. The donations made to Jake’s fund will help to ensure that he is able to receive the best therapy to help him progress in his recovery.  

In addition to the many individual contributions that the fund has received we would like to also thank the following:

for raffling off a grill with all proceeds going to Jake, Brad and Roy Parker and all that supported the , Jack Herman and for various donations, the Dander family for donating all proceeds from their ice cream sales, over $800,  at the WJJMS promotion, the Colchester Lacrosse league who raised over $1,200 through raffling off lacrosse equipment at the annual Cavalcade, the students and staff at WJJMS and the other district schools who participated in a read-in raising over $2,300 and those who have purchased .  

There are so many people thank, we hope that you all realize what a difference you all are making to our family.
